Easy IP Solution!!! What’s an IP Camera? How to Install and View an IP camera?

IP Camera

An Internet Protocol Camera, or IP Camera, is a networked digital video camera used for surveillance, and which unlike analog closed-circuit (CCTV) cameras, can send a receive data via a computer network and the internet. IP Cameras transmit data over a Fast Ethernet link and require a Network Video Recorder (NVR) that servers much the same purpose.

Easy IP Solution, PoE

Easy IP Solution is the new design to make installation easy and secure for all users and PoE (Power Over Ethernet) means that the need for a separate power supply to each camera is eliminated. All what you need to connect an IP camera  to a PoE NVR is the Ethernet cable plus, the PoE NVRs automatically allocate IP addresses to each camera when it is connected.  The easy IP solution includes a complete range of WiFi cameras and NVRs featuring auto-detection,  auto-connection and a very easy access.

Easy To Install
Hikvision’s Easy IP solution makes the installation easy and secure.

•Installation is a labor-intensive effort that requires an Ethernet cable and a power plug for the camera.

•With the PoE NVR, you only need an Ethernet cable to connect the IP camera and NVR.

•Several fixed cameras have to be installed to cover the entire store.

The whole shop is covered by one fisheye camera, reducing time and labor costs.

•Stores often have existing downlights or at least designated areas for these lights.

Using a recessed-mount dome, these spaces can be utilized without any re-work or construction.

•Once a camera is installed, adjusting the lens is difficult.

With a PT (pan-tilt) camera, you can control the direction of the lens with a mouse.

EASY TO CONNECT
Hikvision’s Easy IP solution offers Wi-Fi cameras, Wi-Fi NVRs, and PoE NVRs for easy connection. The system features automatic IP address allocation, auto detection, auto connection, and easy access.

•For analog users, configuring the IP address forwarding can be a headache and may prevent them from choosing an IP solution. Hikvision’s PoE NVR solves that problem for you and also saves time for mass configuration.

•For some locations, deploying an Ethernet network for IP cameras is a constraint.
A complete solution that incorporates Wi-Fi cameras and NVRs addresses this problem.

EASY TO STORE

Hikvision’s Easy IP cameras offer high compression efficiency and reduce the burden of transmission and storage on the IP surveillance system.

•Bandwidth and storage costs are significant concerns when considering a high definition IP system — a standard H.264 camera with full HD1080P resolution and one month of recording can result in about 1.2 TB of space consumed.

Hikvision’s H.264+ optimized codec technology helps to reduce storage consumption by up to 1/3 compared to traditional IP systems — a H.264+ IP camera with full HD1080P resolution and one month of recording consumes about 462 GB.

EASY TO VIEW

All Hikvision Easy IP cameras support Hik-onnect P2P service, which enables remote access simply by using a smartphone to scan the supplied product QR code.

•EZVIZ is a cloud platform to power the surveillance for more efficient security and business. With EZVIZ P2P service, you can view the live video and recorded video files of your house, your stores and your enterprise anytime and anywhere. Intelligent Alarm is supported for precisely recognize the anomaly intrusion and emergency event.

Hikvision Boosts Video Surveillance System Performance with New DeepinView Camera Series

Hikvision, the world’s leading supplier of innovative video surveillance products and solutions, has followed up its launch of the world’s first Deep Learning NVRs with a new series of IP cameras. The new “DeepinView” IP Camera Series delivers power and intelligence to boost the value of surveillance system performance across a broad range of security and management applications.

Hikvision’s deep learning algorithms bear much deeper programming compared against conventional intelligent algorithms, which only operate on the surface level. These algorithms perform feature-learning and provide astonishingly accurate and consistent video content analytics (VCA) performance. When coupled with high-speed GPU processing, Hikvision DeepinView cameras demonstrate faster computing with large amounts of data.

Critical analytics – such as false alarm filters, facial recognition, people counting and ANPR – can now be reliably implemented in existing and new surveillance systems with versatile applications, providing a sophisticated level of tracking and alarm activation during incidents or even for pre-incident alerts. These analytics also enable customers to reduce the manpower previously required for searching surveillance footage, as well as improve business management efficiency and commercial ROI.

Human Body Detection

Hikvision deep learning technology enables the DeepinView cameras to detect human bodies while filtering out insignificant objects and movements within a scene where conventional VCA systems trigger false alarms. This is particularly useful for perimeter protection, where users often spend too much time and monetary resources locating significant alarms and relevant information.

Facial Recognition

Facial recognition can be deployed in many security and management scenarios within a variety of applications to alert system operators to the presence of persons of interest. This is achieved by the facial image modelling and similarity calculation woven into the system. This technology is becoming a crucial tool against blacklisted personnel entering to casinos, as the identity of an individual can be used to alert security guards to the presence of a known offender, enabling security personnel to deny access in that casino. In this way they can potentially prevent cheating behaviours. The technology works equally well in preventing the admittance of known offenders into venues such as sports stadiums or restaurants.

People Counting

For transportation hubs, retail stores, sports venues, visitor attractions, and car parks, the gathering and analysis of accurate visitor information can assist businesses to improve their profitability and site management.

People Counting video analytics can track the number of people who enter and exit a particular area. It can record foot traffic through a retail store on a daily basis, or monitor the number of people in a venue to ensure that health & safety limits are not breached at any one time, as in a museum for example, where crowds move through on foot.

Vehicle Management

Traffic monitoring and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) analytics can be deployed to monitor vehicular traffic movement and enhance the efficiency of traffic management strategies. ANPR can be used to identify vehicles with listed number plates and allow them access to public and private car parks automatically. Hikvision DeepinView deep learning cameras self-learn the number plate information within a scene and recognize a larger amount of number plates than conventional ANPR systems, without the often cumbersome camera positioning adjustments.

DeepinView Traffic monitoring analytics, when applied in populous areas and on highways, capture traffic violations such as running red lights, wrong-way driving, illegal parking, and illegal U-turns, contributing to decreased traffic congestion and placing the public and vehicle passengers at lower risk of accidents.

“Offering security professionals much deeper system functionality, the new range of Hikvision DeepinView IP cameras combine video data, immense processing power, and Hikvision’s innovative set of intelligent technologies to provide a whole new level of video surveillance performance,” says Keen Yao, VP at Hikvision International Business Centre. “With the DeepinView range, deep learning video analytics will transform standard CCTV systems into intelligent and highly-effective, HD-quality, automated detection and alert systems, to support operators and to deliver more efficient surveillance systems management.”

Hikvision has taken the Deep Learning technology and innovated a family of products to maximise its use, including the DeepinView IP Camera Series, DeepinMind NVRs, and the DeepinMind Video Analytics Server.

Hikvision ColorVu Cameras – Capture Vivid Chromatic Images in Darkness

Around 11 p.m., police got an emergency call and rushed to the scene. An assault had happened in a park. According to the victim, the attacker looked like a beggar in ragged clothes and smelling of alcohol. The victim was heading home from the park at the time of the incident, when the attacker suddenly ran out of nowhere and attacked her, took her purse, and fled. The police investigated the scene but found no useful information about the attacker. Because it happened at night, the security cameras in the neighborhood could not effectively record any usable footage. When reviewing the surveillance video, the image was blurry and full of visual noise, which is bad for detection.

Neighborhood parks should be a peaceful place where you can take a break from the hustle and noise of the city. However, an urban park at night is often synonymous with danger. At night, passersby have to be vigilant to stay safe. Although security camera systems are becoming more commonplace in urban parks in recent years, there are still many security requirements that cannot yet be met, such as high-resolution night vision and recording in color.

Today, to effectively solve this problem, cameras equipped with Hikvision ColorVu Technology extend and enhance surveillance capabilities into the dark, lifting the cover of night to capture vivid chromatic images – leading to the prosecution of criminals like the one described above and ultimately enhancing safety.

As a video surveillance manufacturer, Hikvision has long developed products equipped with innovative new features based on video surveillance technologies that have been refined and improved over previous decades.

Hikvision ColorVu Cameras’ powerful ability to capture details in low lighting comes from two specific breakthroughs in hardware technologies: advanced lenses and high-sensitivity sensors. In contrast to conventional lenses, ColorVu lenses are equipped with a super-aperture, reaching up to F1.0, which allows more light to enter the lens so that imaging brightness can be increased.

1The amount of light entering the F1.0 aperture is four times that of F2.0.

Hikvision ColorVu Camera lenses also feature Broad-Band Anti-Reflection (BBAR) Coating and Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) Optical glass, to reduce light flare and efficiently reproduce an image’s sharpness and color saturation. These technologies effectively overcome the kind of key information that gets blocked by a light flare.

The ColorVu Cameras’ high-sensitivity is designed for surveillance applications where high resolution color images are required even in ultra-low light environments. Hikvision ColorVu Cameras sensors demonstrate an extraordinary photovoltaic conversion efficiency. They employ an advanced sensor technology – a new light-collection structure that vastly improves the utilization of light. Tests show ColorVu cameras continually provide colorful, sharp images right down to the lowest light levels. At the same time, their self-adapting 3D DNR algorithm on ISP guarantees high imaging quality.

In addition, extreme light conditions are taken into consideration in the design process. ColorVu cameras are equipped with warm supplemental light, so when there is no light source whatsoever – even starlight or street lights – they can guarantee colorful imaging. This feature provides environmentally-friendly, soft, warm lighting, reducing any harsh discoloration of the object being illuminated.

* Comparison test in a darkroom (0 lux), with self-equipped, supplement lighting.

As a result, Hikvision ColorVu Cameras provide bright color video images 24/7 in low illumination conditions. They excel at capturing vivid chromatic images in a multitude of application scenarios, such as public places with no lighting, night security at industrial parks, traffic intersections in low light environments, and many more – everywhere color information is particularly important.

As an example, in general, license plate information of a suspect’s vehicle is crucial in traffic accident investigation. However, when the vehicle is non-licensed or the license plate is deliberately obscured, the vehicle can only be investigated by its features – brand, model, and especially the color. So, though external lighting conditions are poor, even completely dark, Hikvision ColorVu Cameras still capture valuable color information.

Hikvision ColorVu Technology is being used in the Turbo HD 5.0 and Easy IP 4.0 series. More details can be found in the link or on the official Hikvision website.

Tiandy IP Camera Remote Viewing Setup

STEP 1: WHICH IP ADDRESS DO I USE?

You will be able to view your device from computers and cell phones from both your Local Network as well as over the internet from remote computers and cell phones. The following guides will instruct you to put your IP address into certain fields. It is important to know which IP that you input into these fields. You will either use your device’s Local IP Address, or you will use your internet’s Public IP Address and whether port forwarding is needed.

Viewing from the Local Network:

If you intend on viewing your device from a computer or a cell phone that is either wired or attached through wifi to the same router that your device is attached to, then you will input your device’s Local IP Address in the following instructions when prompted. This is the same IP address that was configured in Easy7 SCE.

Viewing over the internet from a remote location:

If you intend on viewing your device from a computer or cell phone that is on a completely different network (over the internet) then you will need to input your Public IP Address into the fields when prompted. To find out what your networks public IP address is, ensure that your device is on the same network as the computer that you are viewing right now. If this is the case, here is your Public IP Address:221.238.227.82

Furthermore, before you attempt to use the public IP address, you will need to do a process called “port forwarding” on the same router that your device is attached to. Please go to this step to see the ports that you need to forward.

STEP 2: EASY7 SCE

HOW TO VIEW YOUR IP CAMERA USING EASY7 SCE:

1.Download / Install the free Easy7 Smart Client Express application to your computer:

2.Login to the Easy7 SCE software. The default username and password are admin / 1111

3.Next, to add a device, click on “Device”

4.Click “Add Device” A new window will popup where you can add information to connect to your device.

5.Enter in your Device’s information:

For the IP / Domain, be sure to enter the Device’s IP Address that you will be connecting to.

Once you have everything entered, including the device’s username, password and the Device Details. After that is    finished, you will click Add

6.Next, Go back to the Home and click Preview

7.Lastly, double click on the device you just added on the right column to bring up the Preview

STEP 3: MOBILE DEVICE

How to view your IP Camera from a Mobile Device:

1.Download / Install the free TDViewer (Apple) or TDViewer (Android) application to your mobile device:

2.Tap the button on “+” to add a device

3.Next, you can tap the “IP/Domain ” or “P2P ” icon to add a device.

4.Enter in your IPC’s information:

o For the IP Address / Domain, be sure to enter the Device’s IP Address that you will be connecting to.

Remember, if your cell phone is using wifi and is wirelessly attached to the same router that your IP Camera is attached to, then please input your devices local IP address. If you are using your cell phones 3G/4G connection, then you will need to put input your network’s public IP address. If you will be switching back and forth between networks, it would be advantageous to add 2 devices in the cell app, name one “Away” for when you use the 3G connection, and name the other “Local” whenever you choose to use the wifi connection.

oWhen asked for the Port you will input the TCP Port of the device.

oFor the P2P, be sure both the NVR and the phone can connect internet

o Once you have everything entered, tap Start Live Preview to connect to your DVR and to show the live preview:

STEP 4: PORT FORWARDING

HOW TO PORT FORWARD YOUR IP CAMERA:

Please note that the port forwarding process is not needed when viewing over your local network.

Since all router admin pages are different there is no clear cut way to explain how to do port forwarding. Searching your router’s model number or brand on Google to find the port forwarding section can be very helpful. But basically you need to get into your routers administration page. You can normally achieve this by inputting the Gateway IP Address into a web browser.

You then need to navigate to the port forwarding section of your router and forward the following ports to your camera’s Local IP Address:

1.Access your IP Camera’s web interface.

2.Once logged in to your camera, proceed to Configuration > Network Management > Network Service > Other

3.The ports you need to forward are the TCP Port and HTTP Port. By default, these ports are set to 3000 and 80, but you can     change those if needed:

You can change IP Camera’s port with “Net_Admin”

1.Choose the objective IP Camera

2.Change the port, and proceed to ChangePort > Reboot

If you have three  IP Camera,  you can  change IP Camera’s port with “Net_Admin”, like this:

1.Change IPC’s http-port to 80/81/82 respectively ( By default, http-port is 80 )

2.Change IPC’s server-port to 3000/4000/5000 respectively  ( By default, server-port is 3000 )

3.Port mapping equipment:

○ http-port    http-port 80, mapping on the router http-port number should be 80

○ server-port  it is best add 1. For example: server-port 3000, mapping on the router server-port number should be 3001

Right click and go to the Main Menu > System > Network Setup > POE LAN Card

STEP 5: RENAME CAMERA CHANNELS

HOW TO RENAME YOUR CAMERA CHANNELS:

Naming each channel (camera) is important because they are easier to identify and also allows you to correspond the name of the channel with the location of the actual camera if needed (Bedroom 1, Office 2, etc). This can be very helpful, especially if you have multiple channels to view.

1.Right click and go to the Main Menu

2.Proceed to Cameras > OSD

3.Click on the channel / camera you would like to edit and enter a name.

4.Click “Apply“, then it is ok.

STEP 6: MOTION DETECTION

Please note that you will need a hard drive installed for this feature to work.

HOW TO SETUP MOTION DETECTION RECORDING:

Setting up your NVR to record only on motion can save quite a bit of hard-drive space. It also eliminates the hassle of having to view a whole entire days worth of recording to see if an incident happened. These NVR’s have very reliable motion detection in which you can increase or decrease the sensitivity to meet your needs. Also, you can block out certain areas of the picture that have a high-volume of daily traffic in which you do not want the NVR to be triggered to record because of motion in that area.

We do want to pre-caution you that motion detection recording may not be for every camera and/or system. For example, for some outdoor scenarios, you may want to avoid recording on motion because you will have several false alarms. Also, there is the slim chance that the NVR may not pick up on a particular motion event due to very slow motion. The chance of this happening is very very slim but the possibility does exist and we want to make you aware of this so you can determine which route to take depending on how high risk your situation is.

FALSE TRIGGERS:

1.Leaves and other small objects moving across the screen.

2.Weather events such as rain, snow, sleet, etc.

3.Wind blowing the camera around.

4.Most Common: A noisy picture due to low light.

If these aspects worry you at all, then we completely recommend recording 24/7 as opposed to recording on motion. If you are aware of these aspects and would like to continue to record on motion only, please continue reading.

BASIC SETUP:

Right click and go to the Main Menu

Proceed to Cameras > Motion

Select the Channel that you would like to detect motion on:

Make sure to Enable motion detection by checking the box:

Next, Enable recording when motion is detected by checking the box next to “Record Channel” and selecting the channel that you would like to record:

Click “Confirm” then it is ok.

MORE ADVANCED FEATURES:

Region: This allows you to block out certain areas of the picture in case you do not want that part of the picture to be triggered for motion detection.

The picture below shows what the screen will look like which is a bunch of red highlighted boxes. All the boxes in red are “active” boxes which means that particular area is subject to motion detection triggers.

Now say for example that I wanted an area in this picture to be subject to motion detection triggers. To do this, I would simply click on the boxes around the area. Or I can simply click and drag my mouse cursor to the area selection that I want to be blocked for motion detection. The following picture shows what this will look like. So if anyone walks into the area that has the clear “non-highlighted” boxes, the NVR will not be triggered for motion detection recording:

From the Region settings, you can also adjust the motion detection Sensitivity or level of motion needed to trigger detection.

By default, sensitivity is set to 76 on a 1-100 scale, we recommend using the default as a starting point and then adjust it if you feel necessary.

STEP 7: RECORD SCHEDULE

Please note that you will need a hard drive installed for this feature to work.

2.For the majority of people, the recording schedule will be the same for all channels for every day of the week. If this is the case, you will set your channel selection to “all” as well as your weekday to “all”.

3.You may also adjust your recording schedule to record on Schedule Port Alarm or Motion and other types, You can choose to overlap any of these recording options or use them at separate times throughout your recording schedule:

– Schedule is full-time recording.

– Motion stands for Motion Detection recording.

– Port Alarm is if you have your NVR connected to PIR sensors, or a door magnet for example. Any time the sensors go off, your NVR would begin recording.
